LBIG update

The Liquid Biofuel Interest Group (LBIG) has revised its scenario of what may be occurring over the next few years with regards to the production of liquid biofuels in New Zealand. The 2010 scenario has been revised and clearly with the drop in the projections of the price of petroleum for the next few years the 2010 scenario has been put back at least a decade.

However, with new BANZ Member Z Energy soon starting production of biodiesel the vision is not all doom and gloom. Z Energy will have significant volumes of biodiesel on the market and this will give encouragement to the sector and in particular to biofuel users.

The draft of the scenario still requires some refinement.  Comments and suggested edits etc are welcome.
